James Piotrowski running strong for U.S. House
James Piotrowski is gaining in his race for Congress. As a lawyer, he has fought to protect the Constitutional rights of Idahoans, especially workers and those with disabilities. He has also worked closely with organizations seeking to protect Idaho’s wild places and to make Idaho an even better place for families. From James’ website:
I would support existing and new apprenticeship and vocational-technical programs that ensure our citizens and our kids have the skills for successful careers, and that businesses can hire Idaho citizens with the skills they need.
My opponent would transfer our federal lands, including such iconic places as the Frank Church-River of No Return Wilderness, to the State of Idaho…If Idaho takes responsibility for those lands, it will be forced to increase our state taxes to pay for firefighting and road maintenance, and ultimately will have to sell our heritage off to private companies and individuals…
I would support programs that ensure that no veteran goes homeless, protect retirement benefits for career soldiers, sailors and marines, and honor the sacrifices that our nation has asked its citizens to make. Finally, I would never ask for such sacrifice lightly, and only when that sacrifice is needed to protect core American values and interests.
